List of changes in the Infovox 2.1.2 Update: -------------------------------------------- - SpeedGet function: Infovox returns the right value for Speech Rate, in version 2.1 it always returned 0 the first time it was accessed. Programs known to have been affected by this bug: ZoomText Xtra (AiSquared) and Envox (CT Studio). - For voices created with the Voice Manager, the voice name is now also exposed as the Speaker name. This fixes a problem with programs that list the Speaker names instead of the Voice name. Programs known to have been affected by this bug: Jaws (Henter-Joyce). - Reviewed default ranking for the engine, it solves problems noticed when using Infovox together with programs using a search criteria to select a voice. Programs known to have been affected by this bug: Windows Eyes (GWMicro). - Pitch Dynamics is no longer set to 25 when pressing Stop (or calling AudioReset). The Pitch Dynamics setting keeps now the correct value. - Eliminated error condition in the SAPI tags parser when the last character of the buffer is a '\' (backslash) not belonging to a tag. This condition should actually never occurr. However now it is correctly handled by Infovox. Programs known to have been affected by this bug: Jaws (Henter-Joyce). - Added detection and handling of error conditions that could occurr when Infovox is being removed from memory. This eliminates the risk of crashes when closing an application using Infovox. - Improved check for distortion on audio output.
